THUSANANG MENS CLUB

  In the olden days the women's clubs were the only groups which were active and Mr Tlotleng found it necessary that men should have a movement that can keep them busy therefore is how this club called Thusanang mens club was established.The following members were the first members of the club: Thomas Mothuloa,Peter Letsoalo,George Fillies,Andries Sebatjana,Hendrick Mabala,Thomas Mamabolo and Essau Tlotleng.

When the club inaugurated in 1979 it had only six members they were further joined by Issac More,Koos Fillies,Elias Moiloa,Petrus Khumalo,Reuben Maake and Johannes Mokholo. This occassion was attended by seventeen branches of Thusanang Women's Clubs, those were the days where a person enjoyed the company of the others clubs by the way they were the only Men's Club. They were involved in community services and helping the poor of the poor together with their women groups of society(clubs), they made Christmas party for the oldaged and they also donated clothes to the Babelegi in Garankuwa.

As part of motivation to their members they took a journey to Durban for a weekend and the following year the club grew drastically big when they celebrated their 20th anniversay they were 30, on their 25th anniversay they had three groups which was made of hundred and sixty members.

During the year of 1999 they met their club sister calIed Mawandla from Kwa-Thema in Springs since that time up to now they are still with them as compared to others like Tembisa and Katlehong who dumped them. Their relationship with their sister partner Mawandla is growing from strength to strength hoping that nothing will come between them.

In 2002 the other two groups decided to leave the club then the existing group decided to continue with Thusanang Mens Club. On the 25 October 2008 they celebrated their 30th anniversary and they did Team Building from 09:00am to 13:00pm at 14:30pm to 15:00pm it was the time to lite candles to remember their members who died.
